We welcome you (“you” or the “user”) as a reader, editor, author, contributor, viewer, visitor, listener, member, subscriber or customer and we encourage you to join our community.
To support our mission, we provide technology infrastructure (including websites, forums, wikies, blogs and others) and organizational frameworks (policies and procedures), all together known as the Facilities (“Facilities”), for the development of online communities.
We recognize that your privacy is extremely important. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through our Contact Us form.
Modern Liquid Corporation Ltd. (“we” or “us”) is the owner of Freedom and Power. We strive to maintain the highest standards of decency, fairness and integrity in all our operations. Likewise, we are dedicated to protect the privacy of our users.
This document outlines the types of personal information we or third parties receive and collect when you use our Facilities, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.
The website Freedom and Power collects personally identifiable information from the visitors to our website only on a voluntary basis. Personal information collected on a voluntary basis may include name, postal address, email address, company name and telephone number.
This information may be collected if you request information from us, or sign up to join our email list or request some other service or information from us. The information collected may be internally reviewed, used to improve the content of our Facilities, notify our users of updates, and respond to user inquiries.
Once information is received, it is stored in our files. If we make material changes in the collection of personally identifiable information we will inform you by placing a notice in our Facilities. Personal information received from any user may be used only for internal purposes and will not be sold or provided to third parties with the following exception noted below.
Consequently cookies may be used to help you personalize your online experience. Cookies are identifiers that are transferred to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize the Facilities’ pages, or register with any of our Facilities’ services, a cookie may enable Freedom and Power to recall your specific information on subsequent visits.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying your Web browser; however, if you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Facilities.
A web beacon is a transparent image file used to monitor your journey around a single website or collection of sites. They are also referred to as web bugs and are commonly used by sites that hire third-party services to monitor traffic. They may be used in association with cookies to understand how visitors interact with the pages and content on the pages of a web site.
No personally identifiable information you give us directly through the use of a registration or subscription process in our Facilities is provided to them for cookie or web beacon use, so they cannot personally identify you with that information in our Facilities.
Browsers can be set to accept or reject cookies or notify you when a cookie is being sent. Privacy software can be used to override web beacons. Taking either of these actions shouldn't cause a problem with our Facilities, should you so choose.
If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.
Modern Liquid Corporation Ltd. makes use of log files. This is a technical necessity that cannot be avoided and we undertake very reluctantly. The information inside the log files may include Internet Protocol ( IP ) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider ( ISP ), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
Other third party providers of technology to Modern Liquid Corporation Ltd., such as a Hosting Company or ISP may collect their own logs. We have no control whatsoever on the type of information they collect or the uses they may give to such information. However, it is believed, but cannot be assured, that personally identifiable information is not collected.
The Facilities are directed to adults; they are not directed to children under the age of 18. We operate our Facilities in compliance with the applicable Children's Online Privacy Protection Regulations, and will not knowingly collect or use personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.
If you are concerned with your privacy and would prefer to interact anonymously with our Facilities, you should know that true anonymity in the Internet is extremely hard to achieve if not impossible.
However, if you would like to limit to the greatest extent possible the amount of information being collated by our Facilities or third parties through our Facilities, you should consider one or several of the following options:
Do not use any personally identifiable information when you register or subscribe to our Facilities; or
- an anonymizing network such as Tor; or
- an anonymizing proxy; or
- a Web Browser set to Private, Anonymous or similar mode.
If you choose to use any of these options, our Facilities should continue to operate as designed, but we cannot make any implicit or explicit warranty to that effect.
If Freedom and Power is sold, the information we have obtained from you through your voluntary participation in our site may transfer to the new owner as a part of the sale in order that the service being provided to you may continue. In that event, you will receive notice through our Facilities of that change in control and practices, and we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the purchaser honors any opt-out requests you might make of us.
Freedom and Power may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our Facilities, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Some Facilities may have self-serve functions that enable deletions, updates and corrections to be performed directly by the user.
